Cameron McNamara

Transportation Engineer

Cameron, based out of the Maryland office, has 3 years of experience in transportation planning and engineering, supporting projects across both the public and private sectors. His experience includes work on signal timing initiatives, large-scale rail and transit hub projects, parking management strategies, and public outreach efforts. Cameron has contributed to projects throughout the District of Columbia and Virginia, developing transportation solutions that enhance mobility, accessibility, and overall user experience.

During his time at university, Cameron was actively involved in local transit and bicycle advocacy organizations, reflecting his longstanding passion for multimodal transportation and community connectivity. He also served in an executive leadership role with the Urban Studies Student Association, where he organized and facilitated group discussions, events, and explorations focused on Richmond’s urban environment. These experiences helped shape his collaborative approach to transportation planning and public engagement.

Outside of work, Cameron enjoys connecting with his community by spending time in public spaces and supporting local music scenes. A strong advocate for active transportation, biking is his preferred method of travel, though he is equally happy to explore the city on foot.
