Anila Moorthy

Project Transportation Engineer

Since joining Gorove Slade, Anila has contributed to a diverse range of transportation planning and engineering projects across the District of Columbia, Arlington, Alexandria, and Maryland. Her work includes transportation impact studies, campus transportation planning, parking demand analysis, circulation plans, and the preparation of scoping documents. She is skilled in Synchro, VISSIM, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and AutoTurn, and applies these tools to a variety of multimodal and site-focused analyses that help clients navigate complex planning and development challenges.

Anila currently works on projects in the District and Maryland out of the Bethesda Office. She is a registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT) and has successfully passed the Professional Engineer (PE) exam. She is an active member of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS). Anila holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech, where she specialized in transportation systems and planning.

Originally from India and now living in Tysons, Anila brings a collaborative spirit and culturally informed perspective to the firm’s work and team environment. Outside of the office, she enjoys doing yoga, playing badminton, reading mythology books, and binge-watching her favorite shows, interests that reflect her curiosity, energy, and well-rounded approach to life.
