Katie has significant transportation planning and engineering experience, including traffic impact studies, traffic simulation, site access and circulation planning, roadway signing and striping plans, traffic signal design, functional parking lot and garage design, parking demand studies, loading dock analysis, field data collection and analysis, Transportation Demand Management (TDM) planning and analysis. She has been involved with various types of projects including educational institutions, mixed-use developments, commercial and retail developments, office developments, and government facilities throughout the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. She takes great interest in the multi-modal component of urban projects that requires brainstorming solutions to benefit all modes of transportation.

She is a member of Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS), Commercial Real Estate Women Network (CREW), and National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). She has a focus on organization, efficiency, and staff development at Gorove Slade.

While originally from the Pacific Northwest, Katie fell in love with the DC area seeing the impacts of the projects she has worked on in the community. She is a big Gonzaga basketball fan and when not cheering on the Zags you can find her exploring the area on foot, bike, or on the water. Her hobbies include biking, swimming, yoga, cooking, traveling, learning Spanish, and taking her dog Maya on adventures! She often gets coworkers involved in her active endeavors as she loves the team environment at Gorove Slade.
