Michelle Imarah
Transportation Engineer
Michelle is a transportation engineer at Gorove Slade’s Washington DC office. She has obtained 2 and a half years of experience since joining Gorove Slade as a graduate from the University of Kentucky where she attained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Her experience includes traffic impact studies, signal warrant justifications, access waivers, parking studies, queuing analysis, and traffic simulation. She has also done design work consisting of vehicle turning exhibits in AutoCAD for various developments. Michelle has advanced projects with a variety of land uses including mixed-use development, office to residential conversions, data centers, schools, multi-family residential, senior and affordable housing, commercial developments and much more, in several jurisdictions across Northern Virginia with her market focus being primarily Arlington County and the City of Alexandria.
Michelle is involved in Young Professionals in Transportation (YPT), serving on the board as Director of Communications, and she is an active member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) where she also works with the board as a part of the communications team. She contributes to the company culture by organizing lunches for the team once a month to take a break from the office and try new food.
In her free time, Michelle loves reading books especially fiction by African authors. She also loves watching documentaries, limited TV series, and rewatching old nostalgic shows.
