Katie Gold
Transportation Engineer
Katie Gold is a transportation engineer based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area with experience supporting transportation planning and engineering projects across both public and private sectors. Her work includes transportation impact studies, site access and circulation analysis, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven planning efforts. Through her internship experience with firms such as HNTB and Kimley-Horn, she has contributed to roadway design, stormwater considerations, and multimodal transportation projects, with a strong interest in urban mobility and transit-oriented development.
Katie has been actively involved in leadership and professional organizations, serving as President of the Civil Engineering Student Advisory Council at Purdue University and participating in organizations such as AWWA and WTS. She has received multiple academic scholarships and is pursuing her Engineer in Training (EIT) certification. Her academic and professional work reflects a strong foundation in transportation systems, communication, and collaborative project delivery.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys traveling, playing pickleball, and spending time outdoors. She especially enjoys hiking and being in nature, as well as finding new places to walk and explore. She values building strong relationships and contributes to a positive and collaborative team environment through her energy, organization, and enthusiasm for connecting with others.
