Chris has spent his entire professional career at Gorove Slade and has served as president since 2007 when the firm’s founders transitioned ownership to Chris and a team of principals. He leads with a steadfast commitment to client service and staff development. Under his leadership the company has fostered a cohesive “One Firm” ethos across all offices and launched strategic initiatives supporting expansion. Chris began his career as an entry-level engineer and grew into a market leader, eventually establishing the first Virginia office location to spur growth throughout Northern Virginia. His portfolio of work includes both public and private projects, with experience balancing local and state regulations while championing transportation solutions that optimize mobility across all modes of transportation. Chris has provided expert testimony before various boards, commissions and courts, contributed to articles in industry publications, and shared insights at trade conferences and universities.
While originally from Connecticut, Chris has been a Fairfax County resident for nearly three decades and has fostered close community ties. In his free time, Chris enjoys golfing, skiing, and exploring the world with his wife, three adult children, and dog, Santino “Sonny” Coreleone Tacinelli.

Chad is a practice leader in Gorove Slade’s Fairfax office. He possesses over two decades of transportation engineering and planning experience serving both the public and private sector. Chad’s experience includes traffic impact studies, parking studies, circulation planning, queuing analyses, traffic simulation, roadway signing and striping planning, maintenance of traffic plan design, and traffic signal design. He’s advanced projects associated with every land-use including schools, residential developments, universities, small and large commercial facilities, mixed-use developments, and transit-oriented developments.
Chad’s market focus is in Prince William County and Southern Fairfax County. His projects also take him to Stafford County, Spotsylvania County, Fauquier County and Culpeper County. He manages several of the firm’s on-call engagements throughout Northern Virginia. He is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineering (ITE) and the National Association for Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
From New Boston, NH, Chad attended college in Bristol, Rhode Island. He was the starting catcher all four years of his collegiate baseball career. He moved to the Washington, DC area after graduation and now lives in Haymarket, Virginia with his wife (Amber), two sons (Tristan & Jackson), and daughter (Chloe). Outside of work, Chad coaches a youth baseball team – the Virginia Cannons – and is the league’s Vice President of Baseball Operations.

Professional Traffic Operations Engineer
Dan has spent most of his career at Gorove Slade. After starting as a Transportation Engineer with the company almost 25 years ago, he quickly worked his way to Project Manager, Director of Engineering for the DC office, and then Principal. Today as a Vice President and Senior Principal, Dan’s role is to oversee the company’s marketing team, mentor the next generation of Principals, and support strategic efforts that foster company growth. He does this by leveraging his diverse project experience, robust professional network, and keen interest to see those in his orbit succeed.
Over his years of experience Dan has worked for public, private and institutional clients throughout the United States and internationally, on a variety of land uses and master plans. His primary geographic market focus most recently has been projects in the District of Columbia, Arlington County and the City of Alexandria. Dan has always been drawn to the urban context where creating human-scale and walkability are a priority. He appreciates the conversation that happens around our projects in those areas and knowing that everyone sees themselves as a transportation “expert” keeps it fun.
Dan is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, the DC Building Industry Association, NAIOP Northern Virginia, Lamba Alpha International GW Chapter, and the Institute of Transportation Engineers. He has hosted webinars, assisted in the classroom, and actively seeks to mentor those in the industry and give back to the community.
He is a West Virginia native, adopted Panamanian by marriage, and calls Alexandria home today. He and his wife met in the Dual Degree Engineering program at Washington University in St. Louis. They have two children and an American Bulldog. They love spending time together as a family enjoying all the rich amenities of the DC area and traveling abroad to discover new places when they get the opportunity.

Erwin has over 30 years of experience working on a wide range of traffic and transportation projects serving private sector, public sector, institutional, and federal agency clients in the metropolitan Washington, DC area. His experience has been geared to serve the strategic development needs of private developers, address local jurisdictional approval requirements for federal agency clients, and develop sound transportation operational and management plans for institutional clients. He has testified as an expert witness before public zoning boards and commissions locally in the District of Columbia, Montgomery County, and Prince George’s County, as well as in various jurisdictions in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.
Erwin has served as the President of the local chapter of Lambda Alpha International, a land economics honor society. He has taught transportation planning seminars for the Master’s Program in Real Estate at both Georgetown University and the University of Maryland and has been involved in mentoring undergraduates at the George Mason University School of Business. Erwin has participated in several ULI panels that include the Advisory Services Panel in Irvington, IN; Garden City, ID; and Pittsburgh, PA and Technical Assistance Panels for North Capitol Main Street and for the Reimagining of Friendship Heights.

Tushar is a practice leader in Gorove Slade’s Fairfax office and has significant transportation engineering and planning experience serving both the public and private sectors. As part of the leadership group, Tushar plays an active role, providing inputs and assistance on companywide initiatives. He co-leads Gorove Slade’s Loudoun County practice and possesses over 20 years of experience. His experience includes traffic impact studies, due diligence studies, signal justification reports, parking studies, traffic simulation, roadway design support, and traffic signal design. He also manages several on-call contracts in Loudoun County.
Tushar is registered as a Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia and is a member of NAIOP (the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties) and NVBIA (Northern Virginia Building Industry Association).
Originally from Pune, India, Tushar moved to the United States in 2002 to pursue his Masters degree. He now lives in Herndon with his wife and daughter. When Tushar clocks out of work, you’ll likely find him glued to cricket matches or testing out his Hindi comedic chops.

Kevin is a practice leader focusing on projects in Prince William County, Stafford County, Culpeper County, Fauquier County, and the northern Shenandoah Valley. His experience includes traffic engineering, multi-modal transportation planning, parking assessment, and expert testimony for private-sector, institutional, and public-sector clients. His engagements have included land use approvals for large and small commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments, implementation of roadway improvement projects, and master planning for corporate, hospital, and university campuses in the Washington metropolitan area and nationwide.
He is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and the National Association for Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). He is a Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of Maryland.
Kevin grew up in Fairfax County and has been a resident of Manassas Park or Prince William County for the last 25 years. He enjoys supporting his three daughters’ extracurricular activities, including serving as a Prop Dad for their dance studio.

Felice is a practice leader in Gorove Slade’s Alexandria office, focusing on projects in Arlington, Alexandria, and Fairfax County. She has worked in Northern Virginia markets for over 15 years and her experience includes multimodal transportation engineering and planning, transportation impact studies, traffic simulation, site access and circulation planning, roadway signing and striping plans, traffic signal design, functional parking lot and garage design, parking demand, and Transportation Demand Management (TDM) strategies. Her experience includes mixed-use developments, multi-family residential, affordable housing, commercial and retail developments, and municipal uses. As much of her work is in urban areas, she enjoys the challenge of finding balanced solutions that accommodate the needs of each travel mode. Felice holds a PE in Virginia and is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and participates in NAIOP and NVBIA.
Originally from the Atlanta area, Felice started her career in Nashville before relocating to Arlington in 2007. She now lives in Alexandria with her husband, two children and beagle-husky dog. During her time in the office, she enjoys collaborating and connecting with coworkers, and participating in Gorove Slade events. Outside of the office, she loves to travel, be outdoors, volunteer at her kids’ schools, dream up countless home projects, and spend time with family and friends.

Professional Traffic Operations Engineer
Carl is based in our Richmond office, and he has 24 years of experience performing Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA), traffic signal design, and parking demand studies. He has worked for private, public and institutional clients across the Southeast. His market practice area includes nearly all of Virginia – including the Richmond, Fredericksburg, Charlottesville, Roanoke, Blacksburg, Lynchburg, Harrisonburg, Staunton and Hampton Roads metro areas. Carl performs traffic studies in West Virginia on a regular basis, and has also done work in Arkansas, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee in the past for various clients. He is responsible for managing the Richmond office, and growing our presence in the markets we serve.
Carl is an active member of the Virginia Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (VASITE), the Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate (GRACRE), and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
Carl was born and raised in Maryland, and has lived in Richmond since 2011. He is married with three daughters, one son, and a golden retriever. In his spare time, he enjoys family time, running 5k’s, watching football, snow skiing, and learning about history.

Professional Traffic Operations Engineer
Maria Lashinger is a Principal at Gorove Slade leading the firm’s work in Fairfax County and the surrounding towns and cities. She has 20 years of experience providing transportation engineering and planning services on projects that have shaped the region. Her skills conducting transportation impact studies, parking analyses, site access and circulation evaluations have contributed to successful retail, office, residential, and mixed-use developments as well as numerous public facilities in the County. Maria is an advocate for multimodal transportation and works to accommodate all modes of travel with a focus on providing safe bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure. At Gorove Slade, Maria has grown in her career from a transportation engineer to a project manager and is now one of the owners of the firm. She leads a team of engineers, designers, and planners out of the Fairfax office working on projects throughout the county.
Maria earned her bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree from the University of San Francisco. She is a member of ULI, ITE, and NAIOP and is a volunteer with Think Big for Kids. Outside of work, Maria enjoys golfing and supporting her favorite sports teams!

Rob is a Principal overseeing the firm’s transportation planning practice. With over 20 years of experience, he specializes in multi-modal solutions and strategic planning for campuses, neighborhoods, and large developments, helping to define the hierarchy and role of each mode as they interact in urban environments. Rob considers all modes of transportation and brings non-vehicular analysis methodologies to a project, tailoring approach to specific goals unique to each project’s context.
Rob frequently presents to civil engineering classes at the University of Virginia, his alma mater. Rob is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, the American Planning Association, and Urban Land Institute (ULI).
Rob lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife, Erin and his two daughters, Evie and Alexa.

Daniel is a native of Israel who has lived in the District with his wife since 2014. Outside of work, Daniel volunteers at the National Building Museum’s CityVision program to teach DC public school students the basics of urban planning, design, architecture, and community-oriented planning. He enjoys playing soccer, ultimate frisbee, cycling, board games, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Her experience includes traffic impact studies, shared parking studies, traffic signal warrant studies, traffic signal design, roundabout analysis, signal optimization/corridor studies, speed studies, crosswalk studies and traffic volume projection studies. She has been involved with a variety of projects including schools, residential developments, small and large commercial facilities, government facilities and mixed-use developments. Erin grew up in West Virginia and loves her return visits to cheer on the Mountaineers. She lives in Fairfax with her family and in her time off enjoys traveling with them.

She has led projects for educational institutions, mixed-use developments, commercial and retail developments, office developments, government facilities, and a wide variety of other land-uses and clients throughout the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. She takes great interest in the multimodal component of urban projects that requires brainstorming solutions to benefit all modes of transportation.
She is an active member of Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), Urban Land Institute (ULI), Commercial Real Estate Women Network (CREW), Maryland Building Industry Association (MBIA), and National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP MD|DC) where she serves on various committees and involved in different programs. Katie completed ULI’s Leadership Institute and in 2022 was recognized with the Champion Award by the DC chapter of CREW. Katie has a focus on People and Culture where she seeks to foster a strong culture focused on organization, efficiency, teamwork, and staff development at Gorove Slade.
While originally from the Pacific Northwest, Katie fell in love with the DC area seeing the impacts of the projects she has worked on in the community. She lives in Bethesda, Maryland where you will likely spot her running or walking with her husband and hound-dog, Maya.
